PATCH TEST

You MUST patch test on a small area of the skin 24-72 hours before you plan to use the peeling serum. This helps to determine if you have any allergic reactions or sensitivities with the product.

  1. Apply a small amount of product on your skin (inside of your wrist or inner arm or near the jawline beneath the ear) and leave it on for 10 minutes, then rise it off with water.
  2. Wait for 48 hours to see if there is a reaction.
  3. Check the area at 72 hours after appliction to see if you have a delayed reaction.
  4. If no reactions, move forward with the peel. It is recommended to use this product as a night time treatment.

PRE-PEEL PREPARATION PROTOCOL

  1. Cleanse skin thoroughly by removing all makeup with a gentle facial cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and pat skin dry.
  2. Saturate a cotton pad (for a gentle prep) or cotton gauze (for a more aggressive prep) with Chemical Peel Prep Solution. Wipe in one direction or circular motion the entire area of the skin where peel will be applied. Repeat until the cotton pad or cotton gauze is clean. Do not rinse. Allow skin to dry. Do not apply peeling serum to damp skin.

APPLY PEELING SERUM OF CHOICE

  1. Shake peel bottle well before use. Apply thin layer(s) of Chemical Peel Serum with cotton pad or gauze. Begin at the forehead and down the face. DO NOT rub or massage the peel serum, just apply topically, making sure your skin is covered with thin layer(s). You will feel stinging or burning sensation.
  2. The procedure should be timed from 1 to 5 miutes. Start with lesser time then as you become accustomed to the peel strength, the timing can be increased. Watch your skin and not just the clock. Leave the peel serum on skin according to how quickly erythema (rosy pink) develops. All chemical peels have Visual End Point (VEP). It shows you how the skin is responding to the peel and it tells you when to stop: ◾An even rosy pink ◾An even all-over rosy color ◾Areas or spots that are beginning to turn slightly from rosy to rosy-red.
  3. Once you visually see these end points, you MUST immediately and rapidly neutralize the peel serum with Post Chemical Peel Neutralizer Solution.

POST CHEMICAL PEEL NEUTRALIZER SOLUTION

  1. Apply Post Chemical Peel Neutralizer Solution on all areas where chemical peel serum was applied with a cotton pad or gauze. Press the soaked pad to areas that may still be stinging or burning. Wait at least 60 seconds for the neutralizer to take full effect. To stop the activity of the peel serum on the skin, a neutralizer must be used. Rinsing with water only just reduces the concentration or dilutes the peel serum, it does not neutralize the peel.
  2. Once stinging or burning sensation has ceased, rinse skin abundantly with cool water (not hot, not warm), you may use gentle facial cleanser. Gently pat skin dry. It is normal that your skin may feel warm or appear pink after the peel. Your pores will be clean and skin texture will be more refined and radiant.

NOURISH YOUR SKIN
Simplify your skincare routine. Nourish your skin with serum and moisturizer containing important ingredients such as ceramides, fatty acids, cholesterol, hyaluronic acid, and peptides to help restore the protective skin barrier.

No benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, vitamin c, azelaic acid, kojic acid, hydroquinone, sulfur. Avoid actives, harsh, stripping products. Avoid too many products at one time. Use fragrance-free products.

SUNSCREEN WITH SPF 50 OR HIGHER

Avoid sun exposure, but if cannot be avoided, ALWAYS use an SPF of at least 50% or higher (preferably mineral sunscreen) before going outdoors. It is important to protect your skin from the sun after chemical peel to prevent blotchy patches and irregular skin coloring.

Best results with a series of 6-8 treatments repeated every 2 weeks.
